Who handles your information
HandyFindy operates this marketplace in Ireland and is responsible for the personal information used to run it. Contact support@handyfindy.com about privacy or your account.
Information and purposes
We process account and contact details, password hashes, professional profiles, identity submissions, tasks, quotes, messages, reviews, support requests and booking/payment records. Account and transaction information is used to provide the service you request. Security, fraud prevention, identity review and dispute handling serve our legitimate interests in operating a trustworthy marketplace. Accounting records may also be processed to meet legal obligations. Without the information required for an account, verification or payment, the corresponding feature may be unavailable.
Who can see it
Registered members can see information needed for relevant listings, quotes and bookings. Direct contact details are released to the parties after confirmed commission payment. Administrators can review accounts, messages, reports and identity submissions. Do not include sensitive or unnecessary personal details in task descriptions or photos. Messages containing contact details may be automatically blocked before booking; contact support to request human review. Identity decisions are reviewed by administrators.
Service providers and payments
Hostinger provides hosting and email infrastructure; the application server is in the United Kingdom. Stripe processes commission payments and may process data internationally under its own privacy terms. We receive payment identifiers and status, not your full payment-card details. International processing can involve provider contractual safeguards or applicable adequacy arrangements; contact us for details relevant to your data. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and deletion
Account information is retained while needed to provide the service. Account deletion removes identifying profile fields and identity submissions, but is not an automatic deletion of all task, message, booking or financial history. Outstanding bookings must first be resolved. Transaction records are retained for accounting and disputes; retention is assessed against the applicable legal obligations, unresolved claims and the continuing need for the record. You can request a review of retained information by email. Backups can temporarily retain earlier versions of data.
Cookies and security
The necessary hf_session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days and supports secure account access. Clearing or blocking it signs you out or prevents account features from working. Stripe's checkout has its own cookie and privacy information. Access controls and encrypted connections protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
